TeenSafer v2 (2014–2015)

For the first iteration of TeenSafer/TEXTL8R, I synthesized client requests and user feedback, input from the test organization, and results of task analysis into a set of wireframes. The key objectives were to:

• Show points deducted per event
• Improve date selector browsing
• Provide a means of setting up email alerts
• Allow for potential expansion of menu items

I also incorporated device and driving status into the design.

Scoring and Dates

Showing points deducted per event in the event list. Scoring is now subtractive, starting from 100 to mimic grading in school. We were showing the dashboard even when there were no trips for a given day. To distinguish no-trip days from perfect-score days, we needed a screen to show when there were no trips. Wireframe showing the desired behavior of the date selector when there were no trips for a given period. As implemented – before there has been any activity at all.

Device and Driving Status

Extending the driver’s tiles to provide real-time driving status and device reporting status. Mechanism for expanding and contracting the driver’s tiles to accommodate the added status information. Mockup that explains what is shown when the driver is not currently driving, and the device is reporting properly.
