Structure and Flow

From user and system research, a structure began to emerge. Items of interest to users lent themselves to display in lists, which could be presented in tabular (grid) form, with drill-down to detailed views of individual items. The flows across different item types (such as permits, invoices, and licences) could be aligned to provide a predictable user experience.

User and system research revealed common tasks across item types. Each item type could receive a similar treatment - flow from dashboard/main menu to grid to detailed view.
